LANCE MOUNTAIN

October 30th, 2008

I was checking out Transtions web site the other day.  On my journey in Internet land I noticed that StreetLab had a small party last Friday. It was a release party for some new Lance Mountain Nike SB shoes and a chance for people to get hooked up with some good deals.  So how is Lance Mountain relevant to Snowboarding.  Well he’s not but he is a living legend as far as skateboarding goes. Lance is my all time favorite skater.  My first Skateboard was a Lance Mountain “Crest” Powell Peralta in white. Although only because the shop didn’t have a Cab. I skated that board to death.  As I got older I was able to pinch some old stock from various skate shops in the States and Canada.  My goal was to try and find all my favorite boards of the past but in still new condition.  Not an easy task.  I’ve got a few Lance’s in the collection and some very rare Lance Artwork as well.  It’s cool to see someone like Lance still be influential in today’s skateboarding.  Although his company The Firm no longer is around he’s still skating strong for Flip Skateboards.  As for my collection well it’s still waiting to find a place on the walls of the Stuntwood office.  Oh and by the way it turns out that Lance has some relevancy to snowboarding.  Back in the 90’s Lance had his own pro model for a Company called Luxury Snowboards.  So for you new school kids there’s a little history for you.  Here’s some photos from my collection and some random Lance.

1985 Lance Mountain Future Primitive Street. Rare first screen version. This graphic evolved twice after this version. Waiting for a home on our office wall.

Artwork by Lance Mountain. This was the painting that Lances first Powell pro model was based on. Only one in the world and it's in Sweden

DOWNTOWN THROWDOWN

October 28th, 2008

Over the weekend Seattle hosted some of the finer jibbers of the MidWest.  Word on the street is it was a sick session.  Jed won the thing again.  Jed is a sick rail shredder and rides for AIRBLASTER.  Sick!!  Jake Olson-Elm of SIGNAL took best trick.

Let the video speak for it’s self.

RONIN OUT RESTRICTED IN

October 28th, 2008

Burton has dumped the Ronin line of outerwear.  Ronin was Burtons offering to core shops along with UNIC. Well seems as if both got hit by the axe on the way out the back door.  As of now we know of nothing that will be replacing UNIC but Burton has dropped Burton Restricted.  A small select line of outerwear that will be available to select shops.  Although we don’t rock any Burton ourselves they seem to be making the news allot these days.

THIRTY TWO OUTERWEAR SON!

October 24th, 2008

Well we aren’t the type to drop gangster words like “son” all that often.  Although when quoting JP Walker “son” is needed.  32 is dropping outerwear for next season.  Here’s a sneak peak.  The team consists of JP’s Stepchild team mates, Sexton and Solberg. Mister Walker and mister Six Ton and mister Sun Mountain will be rocking the boots and outerwear.  Here’s a peek
