TIM BRAUCH

May 27th, 2009

Skateboarding has had it’s pros.  To many companies they seem as a disposable asset to make them money for as long as possible.  Then they discarded just as fast.  Although there are the few that leave an ever lasting impression on the sport and their names will never be forgotten.  It’s through people that have experience the past that have the duty to help those names live on.  One such skater was Tim Brauch.  A man that left a lasting impression on the sport of skateboarding.  Not so much for his untimely death but rather for who he was as a person and skater.  Tim died at a young age of 25 due to a heart issue.  His name has lived on and his impact to the skate world will never be lost.  This summer  a 30 min. documentary has been put together to give us all some insight into the life of Tim and the impact he has made on this world. Here’s a teaser to this project.

HOLIDAYS

May 26th, 2009

We where away for the long weekend here in Sweden. Was nice to get away and hang out with old friends and see some different stuff. Up in Leksand you can feel a little small sometimes. So it’s good to go to the cities and see what’s happening. While we were away a few of the Stuntwood crew did a spring hippie shred. Don’t got much details. Simon leave a comment on this post and tell us about it. We’re dying to know what went down.

JED SKATES

May 19th, 2009

Since it’s skate season we’ll be posting some skate news and randomness.  We’ll also be keeping you updated with as much shred news as we can dig up.  So here’s a little treat for you all.  Straight from the cheese penis mister Jed.  Skating the millennium park in Calgary.  That first drop in is gnarly.  I’ve skated this park allot and that bowl is insanely vert.  Oh man  I miss skating.  It’s fun to start skating again.  Although my knees are still jello and all nasty like.  What isn’t nasty is Jed skating.  Take a look.

NUULIFE TEASER

May 19th, 2009

Nuulife has had some pretty tight videos posted up on vimeo.  Mostly stuff from the tradeshows and other randoms.  Looks like they are going to be putting out a full length project for next season.  They are based in Canada and mostly shot this in Whistler and I’m assuming some Van. city.

FINGER BLADING

May 18th, 2009

Many years ago Travis Parker made this movie.  There was a short version on one of the Robot Food movies.  Well apparently a full version has surfaced on YouTube. Pierre had this on his great blog.  I’m pretty sure this thing is going to one of those famous film festivals.  It’s lovely.

32/STEPCHILD TEASER

May 18th, 2009

It’s got a name now and it’s called. “This Video Sucks”  I guess we’ll see. Teaser is over at Transworld.  They got the autoplay video stuff going on.  I’m not into those so your going to have to go check for yourselves.

SOME SKATEBOARDING

May 18th, 2009

Richie is good and creative and looks like Captain Hook.  Got this from Simon and was very impressed.  Take a look and be inspired.  Jackson thinks outside of the box.  The question is how many flat spots do you think he has on his wheels after a day skating?
