POOPY TIMES FOR QUICK?

January 19th, 2009

As many of you know the world seems to be in a major money shake down.  People don’t want to spend their cash and others have spent to much.  Either way it’s about as nasty as a poopy flavoured lolly pop.  The big companies that have share holders or public companies seem to be getting hit pretty hard.  One company for example is Quicksilver.  They’ve been really tightening up the company.  Recently the head of Quicksilver America called it quits and now they’ve given the boot to the head of Roxy in America.  This isn’t to say that Quicksilver is going to be gone. Rather that they are making adjustments for the tough times.  Either way it’s created some issues for us sideways sliders.  One for example is this.  DC a company owned by Quick no longer has a factory as Quicksilver sold Rossignol.  Rossignol was the factory in which DC boards where made.  We know that they’ve approached other companies.  Maybe they end up at Mervin (Lib.Tech GNU) as Quick also owns them.  A heap of things have been cancelled by Quicksilver such as events and tradeshow booths.  So I leave this post with a final thought.  Will DC be the next division of Quicksilver sold?  Time will tell.
